Business & Financial Controller

We are now looking for aBusiness & Financial Controllerfor a permanent and full-time position.

You will take a key role in driving, reporting, and analyzing all finance related activities of Betting and iCasino (BiC) unit within Veikkaus Group. To ensure overall efficiency and planning of the business operations, you will be part of BiC management team and work closely with key stakeholders within the business. You will report to Manager, Planning in BiC, and with dotted line to Veikkaus VP, Business Control.

Your main tasks will include but are not limited to:

  1. Analysis of BiC financial performance to both the Group and BiC management team
  2. Preparing a variety of reports e.g. P&L reports, cost analysis, business cases and project profitability
  3. Supporting the key stakeholders (e.g. Group finance, procurement, HR) to enable increased ownership, understanding, and accountability of BiC financial performance
  4. Run and develop BiC management reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes
  5. Conducting ad-hoc reporting and analyses
  6. Acting as a contact person and as a link between BiC and Group Finance

Your profile

This exciting opportunity requires a can-do attitude, hands-on work, motivation to learn, and ability to work as part of different teams as well as independently. Successful execution with the responsibilities requires willingness to deep dive into the essentials of the operations as well as high-level strategy development.

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  1. An applicable university degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant subject
  2. A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in business controlling
  3. Expertise in MS Excel with ability to build various models from scratch, and ability to visualize the data
  4. Strong understanding of ERP systems, group reporting, accounting and business processes
  5. Entrepreneurial mind-set with ambition and motivation for continuous improvement
  6. Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written

Position is located in Finland, Helsinki. We have modern and agile hybrid working methods in use and flexible on-site working spaces at the office in Pohjois-Haaga.
