Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control, Max Payne, Alan Wake, and one of the leading independent game studios in the world, is looking for a Performance Capture Artist to create high-quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games.

As a Performance Capture Artist, you will be part of Remedy's character technology team making sure our actors' performances are as good in our games as they were at the shoot.

You will be working with our cutting-edge in-house pipeline and external partners to provide performance capture data for our animators. In this position, you will also be participating in performance capture shoots by operating and maintaining our computer vision hardware systems.

What you get to do
  • You will take care of the operation and maintenance of the performance capture systems at the Remedy office such as our photogrammetry, 4D facial capture, motion capture, and performance capture systems.
  • You will assist the character technology team in the development and research of new performance capture related solutions and getting them ready for production use.
  • You will plan and prepare the performance capture shoots with the game teams.
  • Processing and timely delivery of performance capture data using both proprietary and commercial tools at high quality.
  • Digital logistics pertaining to performance capture such as reviewing, approving, and integrating performance capture data deliveries from external partners to game projects.
What you bring to the role
  • You are experienced in performance and motion capture.
  • You have experience with game development, visual effects, or animation.
  • You're skilled working with DCCs (Maya, Houdini, Blender, 3ds Max, etc.).
  • You are a fast learner, and have a quality and efficiency driven mindset.
  • You have a good understanding of computer hardware and cameras.
  • You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you are able to communicate and present your ideas in a clear and coherent way. As a team member, you are dedicated to contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment.
  • Additional scripting or programming skills are welcomed.
