We control the entire process of developing renewable energies, from prefeasibility studies to financing, construction and operation. We have strong growth in VALOREM Energies Finland with ongoing construction of more than 300 MW and development of over 1,5GW new wind and solar projects.

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION MANAGER (ref : ORM-2502)

Job Purpose :

Valorem is hiring a communication manager to be responsible for the execution of all or part of the group's communication projects and actions (internal or external), in accordance with the commitments made with the Head of Communication (framing of activities and assigned responsibilities).

The communication manager will be responsible for developing the image and visibility of the Group and/or its entities for which he/she is the communication point of reference.

You would be working with the following tasks:

  1. Within his/her scope of action, provides advice and technical and operational support to colleagues from the various entities of the group on all communication-related actions.
  2. In collaboration with his/her supervisor, defines the projects and actions to be implemented in response to expressed or identified needs. Identifies the success criteria. Selects and justifies the methods of execution and operation, as well as the resources and materials (technical and financial) in compliance with the internal purchasing procedures.
  3. Manages and oversees the projects and actions for which he/she is responsible: organizes and schedules the work, manages deadlines and priorities. As the Project leader, mobilizes and unites internal and/or external resources around the project.
  4. Ensures the successful completion of the project as a whole, in compliance with current processes and procedures. In case of issues, proposes and argues for corrective solutions.
  5. Monitors the quality of intermediate and final results, in close collaboration with the department ('internal client') that initiated the request.
  6. As part of being assigned responsibility for the communication of a Group entity, proposes communication and positioning strategies. Ensures the consistency of the entity's image across all communication channels, materials, or events. In close collaboration with the Head of this entity and under the supervision of his/her own supervisor, defines the communication plan based on the entity's strategy and activities. After validation, implements its deployment.
  7. Based on his/her skills, participates as a resource in the Communication team's projects.
  8. Contributes to the department's activities: carrying out communication operations (internal, institutional, or project-related communication), managing media relations and writing press releases, updating communication materials or tools (print materials, websites, etc.), and defining and preparing events (inaugurations, trade shows, etc.).
  9. Complies with the current QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) processes and procedures. Engages in a collaborative approach and provides support to colleagues. Reports on his/her activities and ensures traceability of actions according to the established procedures.
  10. Carries out or contributes to technical and/or economic monitoring.
  11. Implements a continuous improvement approach.
  12. Documents his/her achievements and shares knowledge and skills developed with colleagues. Proposes improvements.

Education and qualifications:

Master's Degree in Communication - experience in renewable energies preferred.

Excellent writing and speaking skills.

Fluency in Finnish and English - Reading, writing, speaking mandatory. French much appreciated.

Proficiency in the Adobe Suite – Indesign, illustrator, photoshop.

Proficiency in Wordpress.
