Phase1, Communications Trainee

About your role

Phase1 is Orion's paid trainee programme designed for university students, bringing together a large and diverse group of talents from various fields every year. We are looking for a Communications Trainee to join Orion's Corporate Communications team for the summer 2026 for four months. The position would start as agreed end of the spring.

Your key responsibilities

Your tasks will include, for example:

• Content development and monitoring for both Orion Pharma's internal and external channels
• Implementing tasks related to Orion Pharma brand
• Consulting units on the use of communication tools and materials
• Participating in video communication projects
• Participating in sustainability communications
• Producing and coordinating internal events and communication campaigns
• Liaising with our subcontractors
• Assisting with communication tasks

Our expectations

• Studies nearing completion in a relevant higher education degree (e.g., communications, social sciences, business administration, or marketing) - or close to graduation
• Some work experience in communications and of using its modern tools
• The trainee position requires fluent communication and content production in both Finnish and English
• Experience in working with video, Adobe tools, and social media management is an advantage.

The job requires a proactive and enthusiastic approach and the courage to tackle any task. Good team and networking skills are also important for success in the trainee role. Our newly renovated premises at Orion House in Espoo provide a great setting for pleasant interaction with colleagues It is also possible to work partly remotely according to the company's normal practices.

Our Phase1 trainees will be paid a monthly salary of €2370–2625, depending on the number of completed study credits. In addition, the Phase1 trainees are eligible to various employee benefits offered by the company.

Unit description

The People and Culture function supports Orion's business units in reaching their objectives through a well-executed people strategy that attracts and develops talent and culture in line with Orion's strategy. Our task is to create a consistent, inspiring employee experience and support organizational capability development globally. We execute our mission through high-quality HR services and processes with the support of world-class HR professionals.

You will be welcome to complement Orion's five-member Corporate Communications team, which is responsible for Orion's internal and external communications. Our tasks include e.g. corporate brand management, multichannel content development both internally and externally, media relations, and stock exchange communications. We work closely with both our internal stakeholders – e.g. investor relations - and external partners.
