Financial Controller

Reporting to:
Senior Group Accounting Manager

Job role and purpose:

The Financial Controller in Group Reporting is part of the Group Accounting team and plays a key role in group consolidation, intercompany transactions, and support in international tax and VAT matters. The role participates in the monthly consolidation process and contributes to managing potential corporate restructuring activities within group accounting.

The position is responsible for preparing monthly consolidated financial figures for all global group entities. The role also participates in the annual reporting process related to consolidated financial statements and prepares the group's annual reports together with the team.

In addition, the Financial Controller maintains and develops the consolidation tool Anaplan, accounting systems NAV/D365, and the group chart of accounts. The role ensures compliance with Finnish Accounting Standards (FAS) and other applicable laws and regulations, follows tax and VAT legislation, and monitors and reports international tax requirements such as CbCR and Pillar II. The position also actively participates in finance development initiatives and projects.

Qualifications and experience:

• A solid understanding of consolidation and corporate restructurings, accounting principles, financial statements, relevant laws and rules in global environment
• Experience of working in an international company
• • 5 years of experience in group accounting tasks
• Strong understanding of transfer pricing and other international tax reporting
• Strong technical skills regarding consolidation, accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• A relevant Master's degree (Business Administration / Economic Sciences)
• Fluent Finnish and English, both spoken and written
• Systematic and precise with numbers
• Familiarity with US GAAP is considered as an asset
