Community & Conference Manager

The European Business Leaders' Convention (EBLC) is a membership-based organisation bringing together CEOs and senior business leaders from leading companies operating in Europe. Our flagship event, the annual Northern Light Summit in Helsinki, convenes around 100 CEOs and experts for high-level discussions on geopolitics, technology and business. Some say it's the best kept secret in Europe

In addition to the annual summit, EBLC organises other summits for member companies around the world and runs a Young Leaders' program, all designed to convene our members with the world's leading experts to discuss geopolitics and business – the best meetings to update your worldview.
As we grow our membership, we are looking for a Community & Conference Manager to play a central role in delivering our events and managing day-to-day relationships with our member companies. You will be joining the core team of the EBLC: CEO, COO, and Conference Director.

EBLC Ltd is a company that as the Secretariat of the EBLC Association and is responsible for organising all activities under the EBLC umbrella. POLITICO is a minority shareholder in EBLC Ltd.

Your role?
This is a hands-on execution role at the core of EBLC's operations. You will ensure that our summits are delivered smoothly, members are well informed and well looked after, and that the Northern Light Summit runs seamlessly from an operational and administrative perspective - freeing senior management to focus on growth and partnerships.

Your main responsibilities:

1) Meetings for business leaders: ownership and delivery
Take primary responsibility for organising Mini-Summits and other gatherings for CEOs and business leaders internationally
Manage planning, timelines, logistics, venues, suppliers, and participant communications
Work closely with the COO while owning operational follow-through
Ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high professional standard

2) Community & member relationship management
Manage day-to-day communication with EBLC member companies
Ensure members receive clear, timely information about events and activities
Coordinate invitations, registrations, and follow-ups
Maintain an overview of member participation, preferences, and engagement
Act as a reliable and professional point of contact for senior executives

3) Northern Light Summit: operational and administrative support
Work closely with the Conference Director on the organisation of the Northern Light Summit
Support participant coordination and logistics
Lead a team of conference assistants on-site
Handle the administrative side of conference management, including invoicing, payments, and tracking inflows and outflows related to events

What we're looking for:
2-4 years' experience in high-level events, project management, communications, or client-facing roles
Proven ability to manage projects independently and see them through
Comfortable working with CEOs and senior business leaders
Excellent written and spoken English (Finnish is considered a plus)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Top-class judgment and professionalism in communication
Experience with CRM systems is considered as a plus
Interest in geopolitics, global business, and world affairs
Can-do attitude and effectiveness
Based in Helsinki (hybrid role); ready to travel internationally as needed
Overall, a great fit for our small team

Organisation
The EBLC Community consists of two parts: the not-for-profit EBLC Association and the EBLC Ltd. You will be employed by EBLC Ltd.

• The EBLC Association is responsible for the annual, not-for-profit EBLC Northern Light Summit.

• EBLC Ltd acts as the Secretariat of the EBLC Association and is responsible for organising all other activities under the EBLC umbrella.

• The owners of EBLC Ltd are the management, the EBLC Association, and POLITICO.
