We're looking for a Staff Engineer to join the ML Platform organization and lead the design and evolution of our Feature Engineering Platform. This team owns the foundational layer that connects data and ML workflows, and is central to our mission of making machine learning development seamless, accessible, and production-ready across the company.
As a Staff Engineer, you'll shape the architecture and vision of a platform that enables users — from analysts to applied scientists — to explore, engineer, and deploy features with confidence and speed. You'll work at the intersection of data infrastructure, developer experience, and ML operations, building systems that abstract complexity while ensuring scale, reliability, and strong user ergonomics.
What you'll be doing- Design and drive the architecture for a unified feature engineering experience across batch, streaming, and online contexts.
- Partner closely with UX, product-minded engineers, and ML practitioners to craft high-leverage abstractions.
- Lead cross-cutting initiatives spanning dev environments, notebook integrations, data orchestration, and serving pipelines.
- Embed platform reliability, observability, and data quality into the development lifecycle by default.
- Mentor and uplift a team of engineers across different levels and domains.
- Proven experience designing and scaling complex software, data or, ML platforms.
- Experience in production ML, feature stores, high scalable services.
- Deep expertise in backend systems, APIs, and orchestration — bonus for exposure to Spark, Flink, or streaming data stacks.
- Previous experience in Golang (or compile languages) and Python.
- Track record of shaping developer-facing interfaces or platforms with attention to usability and iteration speed.
- Comfort leading technical strategy and aligning cross-team efforts.
