As an Engineer, SW Testing, you will plan, design, and execute software tests that drive quality and reliability across demanding products and regulated software. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, apply modern testing methods and tools, and report results with clarity and precision.

You will be working at our customer's premises in the Helsinki metropolitan area. The position is permanent.

What you'll do

• Design test conditions, procedures, and specifications; execute verification and validation against requirements and test plans
• Report test results and maintain accurate, reproducible documentation compliant with applicable standards
• Advocate for testing within project teams; ensure test cases validate documented software requirements
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, root-cause analysis, and peer reviews for requirements, design, and test procedures
• Estimate and schedule your own work and proactively escalate issues and risks when needed
• Communicate status and technical insights to customers and stakeholders; support sales with technical inputs when needed

What you'll bring

• Degree in engineering (e.g., B.Sc./M.Sc.) or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of SDLC and release management; strong test design and analysis skills
• Proficiency across testing approaches (white/black box, automation, exploratory, non-functional, continuous testing)
• Hands-on with test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Robot Framework, CI/CD environments)
• Hands-on experience in installing and configuring the application framework and debugging mobile applications on physical devices
• Debugging skills for embedded targets and PC/host environments; familiarity with embedded system architectures (RTOS and bare-metal)
• Knowledge of communication protocols, microcontrollers/DSPs/sensors, and ability to read schematics & component datasheets
• Experience with test management and collaboration tools (e.g., Polarion, Jira, TFS, MS Teams) and agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban, TDD)
• Clear, effective communication in English; strong analytical problem-solving; collaborative working style

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device or other regulated domains and familiarity with standards such as IEC 62304
