to support a major data centre construction project in Helsinki.

This organisation delivers complex, end-to-end infrastructure projects across multiple European locations and is currently managing several high-value developments simultaneously. The role offers long-term project stability, strong career progression, and exposure to some of the most technically advanced construction environments in Europe.

The Role

Reporting to the site leadership team, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of environmental, health and safety performance throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on, site-focused position working closely with project management, subcontractors, and workforce teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project and site management in the implementation of health, safety and environmental standards
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS legislation, regulations and site procedures
  • Review and monitor method statements, risk assessments, permits to work and safe systems of work
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walks, tracking corrective actions to completion
  • Promote safe working practices and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Manage COSHH assessments and control of hazardous substances
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with site safety requirements and project standards
  • Coordinate site inductions, training and toolbox talks
  • Assist with incident investigations, reporting and communication of findings
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, plant, equipment and statutory requirements
  • Attend daily coordination meetings and site briefings
  • Support environmental initiatives including waste management, recycling and housekeeping
  • Monitor welfare facilities to ensure appropriate standards are maintained

Requirements & Experience

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a safety role on large construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with site teams
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational and reporting skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours as required by site activities
  • Competent in digital reporting tools and standard office software
