Optical Metrology Professional

This is a full-time opportunity for an on-site role with our major client as an Optical Metrology Engineer located in Santa Clara County. As an Optical Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing measurement technologies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in optical testing processes.

Your main focus in the role is to support the client's project needs by setting up measurement setups, test benches, and performing data analysis. You will work with our WG-IQ system on a daily basis with basic to complex tasks, carrying out measurements, metrology, and alignment tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support optical test technicians and operators.
• Set up measurement setups, test benches, and perform data analysis.

• Carry out measurements, metrology, and alignment tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• PhD with 2+ years of experience OR Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of experience in a similar setting.
• Prior experience with optical systems and instruments.
• Familiarity with metrology test equipment, specifically an IQT or waveguide image quality type of tester.
• Prior experience with waveguide technology for AR glasses applications.
• Experience performing grating, analysis, testing, coating, or quality testing of AR waveguides.
• Strong background in optical metrology in a consumer electronics setting.
• Experience in Python programming for debugging and automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
