Shipboard Electrician Specialist

About the Role:

Splash247 is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting electrical circuits, maintaining diesel engines and ship systems, and performing routine repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical circuits
• Maintain and repair motor starters and start/stop systems
• Use multi-meters, amp meters, and meggers for testing and measurement
• Terminate and install various types of electrical equipment
• Read one-line drawings and technical documents
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and ship systems
• Assist in project management as assigned by management
• Travel occasionally for work at other locations
• Follow all company safety and operational policies
• Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs for extended periods
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions
• Able to climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to 25 feet high
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and work above head for extended periods
• Able to operate Rio Marine vehicles safely
• Valid TWIC and driver's license required
• Clean driving record with no DWI convictions
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electrical service industry
• Good communication and professional skills
