Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Turku Medical Bioinformatics Centre in Finland. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in bioinformatics, focusing on identifying molecular factors and their regulatory networks involved in the development of human diseases.

Our team utilizes large-scale omics datasets and advanced computational methods to gain a deeper understanding of how the human immune system functions and how this understanding can be utilized to develop new treatments for immune-mediated diseases and cancer. The research will involve the analysis of omics data, such as phosphoproteomics, and the testing and further development of data analysis methods.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MSc degree in a suitable field, such as bioinformatics, biostatistics, data science, or computer science. We are looking for a researcher with a proficient understanding of bioinformatics tools and good programming skills, such as R or Python. The position requires a proactive approach in problem-solving, self-direction, and good cooperation skills. Fluent oral and written English is essential.

The salary is determined by the collective agreement system of Finnish universities, aligning with the research personnel category. The average monthly salary is around 3450-3800 euros per month for a postdoctoral researcher.
