About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team at Nortal. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data architectures that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify data needs of clients and design master blueprints to meet those needs
  • Build data architectures, guide data integration and data modeling, control data assets, and align data investments with client strategy
  • Set up standards for data-related offerings, services, and architecture across Nortal Finland
  • Proactively seek new ways of working in the data arena and collaborate with team members to support innovation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and network easily
  • Lead by example and enjoy hands-on work to make an impact
Requirements
  • Experience in envisioning and designing solid data architectures as part of overall enterprise architecture
  • Background in software engineering
  • Strong experience in Python and SQL
  • Strong working experience on enterprise data strategies and data warehouse solutions
  • Experience in various types of data architectures like data lakes, data warehouse and lakehouses
  • Up-to-date understanding of the data mesh paradigm
  • Experience in Azure and on-premise data solutions
  • Familiarity with Spark-based lakehouse platforms, e.g. Databricks or Fabric
  • Love to innovate, demonstrate thought leadership, and enjoy supporting pre-sales as a solution architect
  • One of the following Microsoft certificates: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • Fluency in both Finnish and English

  • Work experience on data infrastructures and networking
