Professor of Computational Design

This Lecturer position is critical to advancing the teaching of computational architecture at the Department of Architecture, covering all levels from bachelor to doctoral studies. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the university's broader strategy of integrating computational methods into architecture and design, aligning with institutional priorities on cutting-edge technologies and their application in addressing global challenges.
Responsibilities- Drive forward teaching on all levels, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to advance climate-adaptive methods and redefine architectural processes across scales.
- Design and deliver courses on contemporary methods in computational design, including immersive design technologies (VR/MR), generative AI methods, and foundational courses.
- Contribute to thesis supervision and advising at undergraduate and graduate levels, supporting the development of the next generation of architectural innovators.
- Collaborate with other professors in the department and programs, fostering the use of computational methods in architecture.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Master's degree in architecture or a related field; a doctoral degree is beneficial.
- Several years of experience in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, developing course materials.
- The ability to bridge architecture with other disciplines, with experience in collaborative projects.
- Expertise in parametric, algorithmic, and computational design methods.
- Proficiency with immersive design technologies (VR/MR) and machine learning frameworks.
