The Faculty of Pharmacy invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position within the Division of Pharmaceutical Biosciences. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of antimicrobial resistance and developing innovative solutions for combating complex infections.

This appointment is part of the Research Council of Finland's project 'Targeting metabolic adaptation to combat difficult-to-treat urinary tract infections caused by E. coli biofilms.' The project focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind uropathogenic E. coli's (UPEC) ability to adapt to changing environments and develop novel therapeutic approaches.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research within the project framework to achieve a doctoral degree according to the University of Helsinki's degree requirements
• Collaborate with the research team to develop innovative solutions for combating antimicrobial resistance
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
• Participate in supervising undergraduate students and other discipline-specific teaching in pharmaceutical biology, covering approximately 5% of working hours
