Your Role as an Embedded Software Engineer

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Huld, you will work on projects that match your background and interests. Your daily tasks may include software design, development using C/C++/C#, continuous integration with DevOps tools, preparing relevant documentation, and supporting colleagues and customers.

In the first year, your goal is to become a trusted member of project teams and solidify your expertise in the area. You will join a project team and contribute to our projects, offering your knowledge in building sustainable solutions for clients. Your Project Manager, Huld Leader, and Mentor will provide support to help you ramp up efficiently.

Prerequisites and Nice-to-Haves
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in a suitable area, such as computer science, automation, mathematics, physics, or electronics.
  • Understanding of embedded systems supported by 3-10 years of experience in embedded software development and/or testing.
  • Good skills in C/C++. Experience with modern C++ is particularly valued.
  • Good communication skills and an ambitious attitude.

Nice-to-have skills include experience with Java, C#, Matlab, Python, Qt, Robot Framework, DevOps, scripting languages, Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, Agile methodologies, and fluent English and Finnish.
