Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Specialist to join our Colorectal Cancer Research Group within the Translational Medicine Research Unit at the Faculty of Medicine.
The selected candidate will participate in analyzing large colorectal cancer cohorts using bioinformatics analyses and data analysis methods, including spatial transcriptomics, multiplex immunohistochemistry, multiplex in situ hybridization, bulk DNA/RNA sequencing, single cell RNA sequencing, and multiplexed serum biomarker measurements.
Through their research, the specialist will uncover molecular variations driving tumor phenotypes in colorectal cancer, refining future tumor classification systems and supporting personalized treatment approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced bioinformatics analyses using R and/or Python.
- Participate in designing and implementing research studies.
- Collaborate with researchers from various disciplines.
Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree: In biochemistry, biomedicine, bioinformatics, cell biology, computer science, data analysis, genetics, medicine, molecular biology, molecular genetics, or related fields.
- Experience: In conducting bioinformatic analyses using R and/or Python, along with strong motivation to learn new research methods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability for independent scientific work.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and spoken English.
