Export Trade Specialist

**About the Role:**

We are seeking an ambitious professional to drive internationalization and accelerate business growth in the Tampere region.

This is a unique opportunity to lead complex projects, manage multi-stakeholder initiatives, and support industrial technology companies in accessing the North American market.

As a key member of our team, you will take ownership of two strategically significant areas:

Opening North American Markets

• Lead and coordinate an EU-funded export project where Business Tampere acts as the main coordinator alongside partners from Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden.
• Work closely with companies, stakeholders, and international players to facilitate market access for industrial technology companies in North America.
• Collaborate with an experienced customer account manager at Business Tampere to ensure project success.

Developing the Automotive & Vehicle Technology Cluster

• Drive the evolution of the cluster towards a more structured, business-driven, and internationally recognized model.
• Establish effective operational structures, develop cluster communications, and organize industry events in collaboration with companies and key stakeholders.

Your time will be divided approximately 50/50 between these two focus areas. You will work as part of our six-member industrial team.

Requirements:

• A relevant higher education degree, such as a Master's in Business Administration, an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, or an MSc in Innovation Leadership.
• Proven experience in leading complex projects and managing multi-stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience in export promotion, preferably with knowledge of the North American market (or a strong willingness to learn).
• Excellent communication and networking skills – you are a confident speaker and capable of building strong, long-term relationships.
• A strategic and solutions-oriented mindset – you don't just analyze challenges; you actively drive progress.
• The ability to understand and support technology-driven business environments, particularly within industrial technology and vehicle technology sectors.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) – you will work in an international environment daily.
• EU citizenship or existing work permit
