About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and talented individual to fill the position of research associate at UNU-WIDER. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting our research and training programme, working closely with our experts and partners to advance our understanding of global development issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD degree or equivalent in economics or a related field;
  • At least three years of progressively responsible relevant postgraduate work experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment.

The successful candidate will be employed under a local contract and will not hold international civil servant status nor be a 'staff member' as defined in the United Nations Staff Rules and Regulations.
