Oura's engineering team is a collaborative force driving innovation across the EU and US. Working in cross-functional feature squads or teams, our engineers develop, architect, and manage features from conception to bug fixes, ensuring seamless experiences for Oura members.

This role is based in Finland, offering flexibility between on-site and remote work with a preference for candidates who can regularly visit our offices in Helsinki or Oulu.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a passionate team of engineers, designers, and product managers to craft exceptional new product experiences for Oura members.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality iOS code with a focus on Heart Health features, adhering to best practices and ensuring seamless performance.
  • Ensure high quality through rigorous code reviews, automatic testing, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Partner closely with Oura teams to explore the science behind new experiences and collaborate with expert app engineers, ML engineers, behavioral scientists, and content creators.
We're Looking for Someone with:
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional development experience shipping iOS apps with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Significant experience with Swift and UIKit, modern iOS app architectures, and common third-party libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience working collaboratively on complex shared codebases, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • Proficiency with Git, branching, and standard code review workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • A passion for quality through unit tests and manual testing, prioritizing precision and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to crafting software that not only meets but exceeds user expectations from an engineering and end-user perspective.

  • IOS technologies such as Swift structured concurrency, Combine, SQLite/GRDB, CoreAnimation, CoreGraphics, PyTorch.
  • Working asynchronously across countries and time zones, leveraging your ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments.

  • Systems architecture and performance optimization, optimizing software for peak efficiency.
