We are seeking a Lead Data Warehousing Specialist to join our Data Warehousing (DW) team at Samlink. Samlink provides customers with Data Warehousing solutions built on versatile core banking systems, tailored to meet their unique business requirements. The data warehousing team is responsible for both the development and maintenance of these solutions.

As a Lead Data Warehousing Specialist in the team, your main tasks will include leading development work in the area, designing new solutions, bringing new ideas, ensuring that the team follows processes, reviewing team members' deliverables, and actively engaging in your own professional growth and development. You will design and implement data warehouse ETL solutions using the Data Vault 2.0 methodology, with Informatica as the primary tool. You need to approach tasks from both business and technical perspectives, working closely with other experts at Samlink.

Please note that our offices are located in Espoo and Jyväskylä, and the candidate would need to be based in these areas.

Required skills and expertise:
  • Ability to take a leading role in the team and work accordingly, supporting other team members and demonstrating best practices.
  • Strong experience in Data Warehousing using the Data Vault 2.0 methodology, including both modeling and implementing ETL solutions (e.g., Informatica).
  • SQL skills and technical proficiency in data warehousing.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Vision and ability to design efficient Data Warehousing solutions for the future.
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle pressure, and strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders, both internally and with customers.
  • Proficiency in Finnish and good communication skills in English.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
  • Experience in the financial sector is a plus, as it will help you adapt to the role more quickly.
A security background check may be performed for those selected to Samlink positions, in accordance with the company recruitment guidelines and the Security Clearance Act.
