About your role
In your role as the Team Leader of the Packaging Materials Team in Chemical Quality Control laboratory, you will lead the team and also act as the specialist in packaging materials analysis. The team members are based in Espoo and Salo, necessitating some workdays in Salo. This position is primarily based in Espoo, with on-site day shifts. Remote workdays are possible upon agreement.
There are 160 people in total in Chemical Quality Control in Espoo, Turku and Salo. Our main responsibilities are to analyze raw materials, packaging materials and final products (gels, tablets, liquids, injections, ointments and inhalations).
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading the team of QC Specialists, QC Associates and QC Assistants
- QC Specialist responsibilities such as review and approval of the analysis, handling the deviation according to our deviation process.
- Support and work towards the organization goals
- Collaborate with several internal stakeholders such as production, warehouse, product lifecycle management and Quality Assurance

- An applicable higher education degree
- Previous managerial experience
- Excellent cooperation and networking skills
- Fluent in Finnish and good skills in English

Unit Description
Quality management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. The Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non-medicinal products.
