WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior C++/Windows Software Engineer
We are looking for a Senior C++/Windows Software Engineer to join Unikie team. In this role, you will join our international development team and work on a long-term software development assignment. The role is well suited to a self-directed developer who is a strong troubleshooter, learns quickly and is proactive in sharing knowledge.
Your future colleagues are waiting for you to join our international team. Working with us is uncomplicated, with a good team spirit, low hierarchy and flexible ways of working.
This opportunity is on-site in Tampere.
Required Qualifications
- Strong, hands-on C++ development experience in production software.
- Experience developing C++ software for Windows, including user-facing applications and/or background services.
- Practical experience developing or supporting protocol gateways and integrations that enable different systems to exchange data.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex software problems, including application crashes, crash dumps and memory-related issues using Visual Studio.
- Good working knowledge of Git for managing source code and collaborating with developers.
- Basic understanding of computer networking and redundancy, including connection failures, reconnection and failover.
- Experience working with virtual machines or other virtualized development and test environments.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- A strong troubleshooter who takes ownership of difficult problems.
- A quick learner willing to learn the basics of a new software platform.
- Collaborative and proactive in sharing knowledge.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with MFC.
- Experience with OPC UA or similar communication protocols.
- Experience with Atlassian tools.
- Experience working in a Scrum workflow.
