Project Manager – AI-enabled Software Delivery

Jyväskylä, Manner-Suomi Vincit Kokoaikainen 61 000 € - 89 000 €/vuosi

The way we build and deliver custom software is changing. Want to be one of the people shaping what comes next? We do. We’re looking for a Project Manager to join Vincit’s Custom Software business and lead custom software projects in a world where AI and agentic development are changing how software gets built. This isn’t about leaving traditional project management behind. It’s about taking what already makes a great Project Manager – customer understanding, commercial thinking, delivery ownership and the ability to keep complex projects moving – and combining it with new ways of working enabled by AI and agentic software development. You don’t need years of experience managing AI-native projects. We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in software project management who is genuinely excited to learn, experiment and help us build the next generation of project delivery.

What is the job like, really?

As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of custom software projects and work closely with our customers and development teams to make sure we deliver the right things – successfully and profitably. But there’s an important twist. AI and agentic development are changing how software teams work, how quickly things can be built and, consequently, how projects need to be planned, scoped and managed. In this role, you’ll lead customer projects with these new ways of working while keeping delivery, business goals and profitability on track. You’ll explore how AI agents and modern AI tools can be used throughout project delivery, and help our teams and customers adopt these new ways of working. At the same time, you’ll keep a firm grip on the fundamentals: scope, budget, profitability, expectations and customer relationships. This is also a commercial role. You’ll work with existing customers to identify what should happen next, shape upcoming work and negotiate changes and extensions to existing agreements. You should be comfortable discussing both delivery and business – and helping customers understand what AI-enabled ways of working mean for their projects.

Here’s a Snapshot Of Your

Key Responsibilities

  • Project delivery & profitability – Own software project delivery from planning to execution, keeping scope, budget, timelines and profitability on track.
  • AI-enabled & agentic delivery – Explore and develop how AI tools and agents can be embedded into project delivery, helping teams work more effectively with new ways of working.
  • Customer partnership – Work closely with customers, facilitate decisions, manage expectations and help them navigate new AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Commercial ownership – Identify opportunities within existing customer relationships and handle project changes, extensions, estimates and contract negotiations.
  • Teams & collaboration – Create the conditions for software teams to succeed by bringing clarity, removing blockers and keeping customers and delivery teams aligned.
  • Developing how we deliver – Bring your own ideas, experiment with new approaches and help shape what excellent custom software delivery looks like in an increasingly agentic world.

What are we looking for?

You’ll do well in this role if you already know how software projects work and are excited about where software delivery is heading – and how quickly that change is already happening. You don’t need to be an AI engineer. What matters more is that you’re technically curious, already comfortable using AI tools, and eager to understand how agentic development changes the way projects are scoped, managed and delivered. At the same time, you enjoy the commercial and human side of project work. You can sit down with a customer, understand what they actually need, challenge their thinking when necessary and turn uncertainty into a plan that both the customer and the delivery team can get behind. You’re also comfortable handling changing priorities, unclear scope, difficult trade-offs, delivery challenges and conversations where expectations need to be reset.

Experience And Skills We Value

  • Experience managing software development projects, preferably in custom software, digital services or a consulting environment.
  • A good understanding of how modern software development projects and multidisciplinary development teams work.
  • Experience owning project budgets, forecasts, scope, resourcing and delivery – and understanding what makes a consultancy project commercially successful.
  • Experience working directly with customers and building trusted customer relationships.
  • Commercial confidence to discuss project changes, estimates, additional work and agreements with existing customers.
  • Hands‑on interest in AI tools and agentic ways of working, with curiosity to experiment and develop new approaches to project delivery.
  • Ability to facilitate, c
