The Finnish School of Watchmaking, renowned for its exceptional reputation and high-quality training, is seeking a passionate and skilled Instructor of Watchmaking. Our school has a long-standing tradition of excellence in watchmaking education. Why is This Role Special
Our new Independent Watchmaker Course is designed to provide in-depth training and mentorship to aspiring watchmakers. This intensive two-year program aims to cultivate a deep appreciation for the artistry and technical precision of watchmaking. The course targets individuals who are passionate about creating their own timepieces and mastering the intricacies of traditional watchmaking skills. The course is taught in English.
As an Instructor of Watchmaking, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this timeless craft. Through our Independent Watchmaker Course, you'll guide motivated, international students to master traditional techniques and create their own timepieces. This is your opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the profession and help preserve its cultural heritage.
You'll thrive in this role if you
- Hold a degree in watchmaking (additional certifications such as WOSTEP or KHWCC are considered a strong advantage)
- Have hands-on experience in creating bespoke timepieces and a deep appreciation for and knowledge of traditional watchmaking techniques
- Are passionate about mentoring and inspiring the next generation of independent watchmakers
- A strong interest in learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in watchmaking
- Have excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring students

- Delivering high-quality watchmaking instruction to international students at various levels
- Implementing curriculum that emphasizes traditional watchmaking techniques as well as modern innovations
- Mentoring and guiding students in their projects and practical work

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the school's watchmaking programs
