We are looking for an IT Specialist to our growing IT & SecOps team to support the infrastructure that keeps Hoxhunt as a company rolling. We make sure that all Hoxhunters have the devices and tools they need to do their job. Also, our job is to ensure that everyone at Hoxhunt is kept secure and that our customers can trust us with their data. We maintain the systems and procedures in a people-first way but keeping in mind that security comes first.

In this full-time role, you will work on building, maintaining, and monitoring the computer systems and networks at Hoxhunt with the latest tooling in the market. This includes both our Helsinki and US offices. Your tasks will include solving complex technical issues and you'll also collaborate with whole organisation team members to assist them with projects and escalations.

The What

As our IT Specialist, you will:

  • Assist Hoxhunters with daily IT issues on MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and other technical devices
  • Make sure that computers and accounts for new starters are ready for their first day
  • Analyse different records and logs to spot underlying trends and potential security issues to the organisation
  • Engage with our computer and peripheral suppliers to get quotes, create purchase orders, place orders, and take them in
  • Update the documentation of company assets
  • Conduct Security trainings for new and existing employees
  • Educate co-workers about information & network security and best practices for computer usage
  • Maintain documentation that provides technical support for the entire organisation
  • Support IT & Security Manager in SOC2 Type II audit
  • Administer various M365 / Azure / Google environments in different domains
  • Make sure that off-boarded employee's devices are returned properly, erased, and access to company systems have been revoked
  • Collaborate closely with our IT & Security Manager

The Who

To be set up for success in this role you need:

  • An IT related degree or relevant professional experience, preferably minimum +5 years of experience from a similar role (IT Support, IT Service Desk or alike)
  • Experience with managing both macOS and Windows environments, including proficiency in Entra ID, Microsoft mobile device management
  • An information security mindset and willingness to learn more
  • Experience in planning and executing IT projects
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Ever-lasting resilience and solution-oriented mindset: solving complicated problems and seeing projects through to completion is your thing
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records
  • A team-oriented and friendly can-do attitude to help colleagues with technical problems
  • Effective time-management and ability to prioritise simultaneous projects
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish

You need to already be based in the Uusimaa region and have the possibility to visit the office weekly. Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash including KQL are seen as highly beneficial. Basic knowledge of security tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions are seen also as highly beneficial.
