You will be part of the MN RAN Cloud Platform HW Department that is accountable for Cloud HW solutions used in MN cloud products like AI RAN, Cloud RAN etc. We drive Cloud Platform HW evolution according to internal user, customer, and market requirements. We are responsible for entity-level requirements, architecture, specifications, and configurations of Cloud Platform HW solutions utilized in MN cloud products. We develop, integrate, verify, maintain, and support Cloud Platform HW solutions including embedded SW together with selected partners like Dell and HPE and will take more responsibility for RINLINE host driver development, integration and troubleshooting. In addition, we also maintain Nokia Airframe and older legacy HW solutions that are widely used by customers around the world.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As part of our team, you will:
- Act in all development phases for new release of Cloud Platform HW Infrastructure, including but not limited to CPHW feature requirement clarification, design specification review and validation, change requirement clarification and fault analysis with partners and customers, feature testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with APO to ensure the project deliverables for responsible areas
- Co-work with eSW Architect for CPHW eSW requirement definition and review sessions
- Lead technical clarification and troubleshooting with stakeholders in lab findings or simulation e.g., NOKIA partners, vendors and NOKIA internal & external customers
- Provide release notes, technical service notes and other documentations based on program needs
- Estimate work amounts in own area, investigate lab requirements
- Define and develop the SW modules for feature needs and enhance the system test automation coverage and modernization
- Build up the verification environment and verify the functionalities and system stability
- Participate program meetings with partners or customer teams for solution collaboration
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Relevant education background of Bachelor's and Associate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Network Technical Science
- Experience of R&D work both in test and development
- Experience in Linux usage, Linux driver development, and debugging
- Experience in scripting and programming skills in C/C++/Python/TCL, etc.
- Knowledge in transport network protocols and operations, such as Layer 2 & Layer 3 (IPv4, IPv6) & upper-layer protocols (TCP/UDP, SCTP, etc.), Synch, IPSec, and Firewall knowledge.
- Knowledge in Computer System management protocols, such as IPMI
- Knowledge in CPU sub-system for INTEL or ARM, experienced with PCH, interrupts, timer, SSD, NVRAM, boot flash, SPI etc.
- Experience and knowledge of the industry-leading suppliers of network switches (DELL, NOKIA IXR, Juniper, Arista, Cisco)
- Experience of feature feasibility study and system analysis for Telecom system
- Collaboration experience with multiple team members or other partners, problem-solving techniques and skills with maintenance thinking
- Knowledge of test tools, test automation, and methods
It would be nice if you also have:
- Knowledge in FPGA, DSP, or BSP development for productization
- Knowledge of cloud platform, such as OpenStack, IAAS, OVS, DPDK, CaaS, VM
- Knowledge in data center system, and experience of operation on server, switch, storage and 3rd party components (NIC, GPU, DISK, RAID, HBA etc.)
