Cloud Architect - Helvar

We are now seeking a talented cloud architect with expertise in IoT to join our team. As a cloud architect, you are responsible for designing, deploying and managing Helvar's cloud infrastructure that supports IoT ecosystems, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and data management. You will work closely with cloud developers, architects, and product managers to ensure that our cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with our business objectives.

What you'll be doing as our Cloud Architect

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that integrate with IoT services and platforms to support connected systems based on user, business, and technical requirements.
  • Develop and execute cloud strategies.
  • Ensure the high availability and resilience of cloud services.
  • Feature development, including programming, together with the team.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for cloud development, security, compliance, and cost management.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency of cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to internal teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.

What skills we'd love you to bring to the table

  • 5+ years of experience as a cloud architect or similar role in cloud development.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms, especially in AWS. Expertise in Azure and Google Cloud is considered a plus.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and storage.
  • Expertise in edge computing and IoT security frameworks.
  • Understanding of IoT device management, data processing, and real-time analytics in the cloud.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiar with cloud-native technologies i.e., serverless, microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud development, security, compliance, and governance.
  • Hands-on expertise with IoT platforms and protocols such as MQTT.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud systems.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education and Certifications

  • Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect, DevOps, and Development are highly desirable.
  • IoT-related certifications such as AWS IoT core certification is a plus.
