As a Backend Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing critical backend services for our GuitarTuna product, the world's #1 product for tuning your instruments. WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Backend Developer at Yousician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing new features, ensuring robustness, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Establishing and advocating for best coding practices, driving improvements in code quality and system architecture.
  • Owning complex troubleshooting and debugging efforts, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Conducting and mentoring others in code reviews, fostering a high standard of engineering excellence.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
  • Guiding and supporting junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Strong experience in backend development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python 3 and backend frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
  • Deep experience with REST-based API development and database technologies (MongoDB, SQL).
  • Strong cloud experience, with expertise in deploying scalable applications on cloud platforms.
  • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD), preferably using Pytest or similar frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ensuring smooth teamwork in an agile, cross-functional environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with monetization strategies, including Apple Store and Google App Store integrations.
  • Familiarity with Unity and the ability to read app code.
  • Experience with serialization frameworks like Pydantic.
