As a Software Architect at Samlink, a Kyndryl Company, you will be responsible for leading the charge in creating technical blueprints, defining product/solution architecture, and developing the technical specifications for our projects. You will act as an example for other team members by developing code that is clean, understandable, effective, and easy to maintain. You'll be a key player in integrating the features of our software applications into a cohesive and functioning system.

Your analytical and creative mindset will be put to the test as you anticipate trends, stay up-to-date on leading technology, and participate in Samlink's architectural boards. Your expertise will guide functional objectives and technologies, and you'll be a driving force in evaluating, identifying, and developing software solutions.

In addition to your technical prowess, you'll also be a strong leader and communicator, able to train and oversee the activities of our development team. You'll foster a collaborative environment and work closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to ensure our software solutions are meeting the needs of our business and our customers.

Please note that our offices are located in Espoo and Jyväskylä, and the candidate would need to be based in these areas.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  1. Over 5 years of relevant work experience in software architecture
  2. Strong computer science fundamentals, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and API design
  3. Solid understanding of end-to-end product development phases and having participated in them
  4. In-depth understanding of development best practices
  5. Proficiency in both Finnish and English languages
  6. Willingness to travel

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  2. Experience in Cloud-native software development or architecture
  3. Experience with any of the following technologies & methodologies: Java Spring Boot, Node.js, Angular, REST, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and Linux
  4. Understanding of computer networking and protocols
  5. Knowledge/experience in the Banking & Financial Services Industry
