Business Insights (Senior) Manager

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Job role and purpose:

The Business Insights (Senior) Manager will play a key role in analyzing and leveraging our vast data by driving the implementation of our data strategy. They will develop user-friendly tools, deliver impactful reporting, and automate processes to streamline data management across the business.

The role includes leading Data & Analytics initiative and ensuring business needs drive the development of data solutions. The role requires understanding of business-driven data strategies, architecture evaluations, stakeholder engagement, and governance models. Being an expert in gathering and utilizing data and analytics correctly, the Business Insights (Senior) Manager will help influence the performance of our business by leading the way in 3stepIT to become data driven at every level of our organization.

This role can be at either the Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on the selected candidate's skills and experience.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Lead our Data & Analytics Initiative, ensuring key priorities are implemented efficiently and on time.
  2. Manage data development pipeline and backlog, defining use cases, KPIs, and prioritization frameworks to guide data development and investments.
  3. Oversee data-related governance and steering ensuring data governance and ownership models are defined and adopted across the organization.
  4. Drive project planning, scheduling, and roadmap execution for timely delivery of data solutions across the organization's business areas.
  5. Coach analysts, business developers, and process owners as they up-skill themselves towards a data-driven culture.
  6. Oversee data architecture evaluations and collaborate with IT teams to develop scalable, future-proof value-creating solutions.

In this role, it's crucial to have a clear vision of how organizations should leverage their vast data resources. Equally important is the ability to communicate effectively and engage the right stakeholders to bring that vision to life.

We would highly value your insights on how AI and predictive analytics can enhance data management and decision-making, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve well into the future.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Information Management or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in working with Data and analytics including data strategy implementation and launching data/AI products internally.
  • Full working proficiency in English (Finnish language skills are seen as a benefit).
  • Ability to deliver value from data, familiarity with data valuation and data monetization models.
  • Experience in data governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Good technical expertise and understanding to collaborate closely with the Data Architect in implementing data models and tools, including AI & BI tools, e.g., Qlik and Power BI.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to coach and up-skill analysts and business developers and process owners.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to communicate across different organizational functions.

Our company operates on a hybrid working model, allowing 50% on-site and 50% remote work flexibility.

Please note that the selected candidate will need to pass the Finnish security clearance (perusmuotoinen turvallisuusselvitys).
