We're looking for a Team Lead to join our Research and Protection Platform team. If you're passionate about leading highly skilled engineers, shaping scalable security platforms, and driving Agile development in a collaborative environment, we'd love to have you on board.

Our Research and Protection Platform team, based in Helsinki, plays a key role in making sure our products can answer the question "Is this safe?"—billions of times across millions of different objects. About the role

As a Team Lead, you'll take on a leadership role that combines technical oversight with team development. You'll be responsible for guiding the team in building and maintaining a scalable, resilient security platform while ensuring smooth Agile processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting to the VP, Research, you'll play a key role in aligning the team's strategy with business needs, fostering a high-performance culture, and enabling professional growth within the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Team leadership and mentorship: Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Agile process management: Lead the team's Agile development process, ensuring structured workflows and predictable pipelines.
  • Technical strategy and platform development: Drive architectural improvements and system resilience, ensuring the platform's scalability, efficiency, and security.
  • Operational excellence: Manage services and related risks, support the team in delivering high-tier SLAs, overseeing debugging processes, and ensuring system stability.
  • Vulnerability and risk management: Oversee the team's vulnerability triaging and resolution processes, ensuring security remains a top priority.
  • Collaboration across teams: Work closely with architects, security researchers, and product managers to align the platform with company objectives and operational needs.

We're seeking someone who brings:

  • Leadership experience: Proven ability to lead technical teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Agile and operational skills: Strong experience managing Agile workflows, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
  • Technical expertise in security platforms & software architecture: Hands-on experience with AWS, Python, Java, or NodeJS in high-scale production environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to align business needs with technical solutions, resolve production issues, and improve system efficiency.
  • Fluent English skills: English is our company's official language, so you should be comfortable using it in both written and spoken communication.
