We now have an exciting new opportunity to recruit a System Engineering Workstream Lead to join our team in Finland. This role could be based from our sites in Lappeenranta, Helsinki, or Tampere, or could be a role which is done remotely.

Job Responsibilities

As System Engineering Workstream Lead, you will be technically guiding a team responsible for the electrification of on-highway and off-highway vehicles through defining the system design and system architecture. In this position you will:

  1. Technically lead the team of system engineers.
  2. Define and track the work packages of your team of system engineers.
  3. Estimate and plan the work to be done and report the status to the stakeholders.
  4. Co-operate with other development domains, internal as well as external stakeholders.
  5. Contribute in the process development of system engineering.

As System Engineering Workstream Lead, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  1. Masters or similar equivalent qualification in electrical engineering with detailed experience in system engineering.
  2. Excellent understanding of system engineering development processes.
  3. Excellent understanding of power electronic converters, motor control, and electric traction systems.
  4. Being an effective team player, yet not afraid of working independently or taking responsibility.
  5. Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Advantageous would be:

  1. Ph.D. in electrical engineering with demonstrable experience in the respective domain.
  2. Model-Based Design (MBD) skills, particularly with Simulink or similar tools.
  3. Understanding of functional safety (especially ISO 26262) and experience of functional safety projects in the automotive industry.
  4. Familiar with Cyber Security key concepts.
  5. Experience of Azure DevOps.
  6. Experience of working as a Scrum master or a product owner.
