Reaktor's Defence & Security Unit is looking for an Integration Engineer and System Administrator in Helsinki.

Your Role:

  • Software Deployment & Integration – Install, configure, and integrate our products at customer sites, ensuring compatibility with their IT infrastructure.

  • Pre-Installation Planning – Prepare network and security configurations, validate system requirements, and help automate setup processes.

  • Administering Reaktor DefSec's classified IT systems – Be also a part of the DefSec's SysAdmin team.

  • Customer Support & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve integration issues related to e.g. networking, authentication, and security.

  • System Maintenance & Upgrades – Perform onsite software updates and configuration changes.

  • Technical Collaboration – Work closely with our clients' IT teams and our own development teams to ensure successful installations and integrations.

  • Onsite Travel – Travel to our clients' locations for installations, updates, and troubleshooting in Finland & abroad, mostly within the EU.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of IP networking, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, and network protocols.

  • Proficiency in PKI and authentication mechanisms, including certificate management (TLS/SSL, CA, OCSP, CRL, etc.).

  • Experience in troubleshooting network and integration issues.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Ability and willingness to travel (onsite work required with limited hybrid options).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in customer environments.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple deployments and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Fluent Finnish and English (written and spoken).

  • This role requires Finnish citizenship due to client and security regulations. This person will have to pass a security clearance process when hired.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Ansible automation for deployment and configuration.

  • Knowledge of Windows environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD).

  • Coding experience in TypeScript, Python, or Go.

  • Experience with classified IT systems.
