**Turku Philharmonic Orchestra Seeks 2nd Violin Tuttist**

The Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, a professional full-time orchestra of 74 musicians, is seeking a skilled 2nd violinist to join its ranks.

**Job Description:**

The orchestra is looking for a highly qualified 2nd violinist to fill a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repertoire, including classical and romantic works, as well as contemporary pieces.

**Responsibilities:**

* Perform as a member of the orchestra's 2nd violin section
* Participate in rehearsals and performances of a diverse repertoire
* Collaborate with other musicians to achieve high-quality performances
* Develop and maintain a high level of technical and musical skill

**Requirements:**

* Advanced degree in music performance or equivalent experience
* Proven track record of performing with a professional orchestra
* Excellent technical and musical skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment

**Audition Process:**

The audition will consist of a series of musical excerpts, including:

* W. A. Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 K.216, No. 4 K.218 or No. 5 K.219, 1st movement with cadenza
* A Romantic violin concerto of candidate's choice, 1st movement with cadenza
* Orchestral excerpts from various composers, including Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Debussy, Fagerlund, Mahler, Mozart, Schönberg, and Sibelius
* Chamber music excerpt from F. Schubert: Death and Maiden, I mvt, bars 1-140

**Selection Criteria:**

The orchestra will select candidates based on their technical and musical skills, as well as their ability to work well in a team environment.
