Underwriter Property

Underwriter Property & Engineering Lines to Zurich Nordic: Analyze and manage risk, build relationships, and drive business growth in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

We are seeking a skilled Underwriter to join our Property & Engineering team in Finland. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for building and managing your own portfolio of contracts and customers, analyzing risk, and driving business growth through negotiation and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a portfolio of contracts and customers
• Analyze risk and exposure
• Set premiums and negotiate with customers
• Develop and implement new or enhanced propositions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in Property and CAR/EAR
• Strong technical knowledge
• Academic degree in engineering or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong data processing and analytical skills
• Technical background and knowledge of underwriting core processes
• Knowledge of risk analysis and selection, pricing for new business and renewals
• Good negotiation and sales skills
• Good presentation skills and solutions-oriented approach
• High level of risk- and business awareness
