Would you like to join us in our Customer Development team as Category analyst.

This is a new team, that is being established within the retail organization with the goal of investing more in the content of customer-facing work, its planning, supporting the implementation, and ensuring the achievement of desired results. We are creating a new way of utilizing data for decision-making and better leveraging information in business planning, growth initiatives, and customer work. The team will work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance. The team will be led by a Customer Development Manager.

How you will make an impact

We are on a journey to create Future of Sales with high focus on strong Customer Focus & Execution. Digitalization will change how we all operate within sales and we will further invest in new tools and analytics capabilities.

You will be playing a key role in to extract data-driven insights and transform them into compelling stories that draw conclusions, identify opportunities, and make recommendations. As an individual, you will have the opportunity to shape the role and redefine the fundamental principles of data usage. The specific responsibilities within the team will be determined once the team is formed. This is good opportunity to build something new.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage data and turning data into insights for broader customer development and category development purposes.
  • Acting as a central point between sales and marketing to utilize data for customer category development.
  • Utilizing data insights to support and provide recommendations for categories and category plans, promotions, pricing, etc.
  • Support the build and evolution of NRM.
  • Playing a key role in building NRM-specific tools that will contribute to the foundation of NRM planning.
  • Establishing management information and reporting to the local leadership team and the European team.

What will make you successful

You are a data-driven individual with a strong ability to comprehend numerical data. As a problem solver, you can interpret data to guide organizational strategy and decision-making. In addition, you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential for working closely with stakeholders and presenting your findings.

Whether you are at an entry-level or have more experience, we hope you have a passion for data and you are driven to dig deep into data, derive insights, and transform them into actionable recommendations to benefit both the business and your colleagues. Having some knowledge of food science may be advantageous.

Preferably you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience as a Category Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the retail or consumer goods industry (knowledge of pricing disciplines and tools is a plus)
  • Interest in the FMCG or retail industry
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for example Power BI, SQL (a plus)
  • The ability to use English fluent written and verbal and you can communicate in Finnish in everyday situations
